Turkmenbashi Naval Base

The naval base of Turkmenistan’s navy located in Dzhanga - Turkmenbashi, on the shores of the Caspian Sea in the western part of Turkmenistan, is the main military sea port of the country. In 2009 the Turkmen President approved a program to create a national naval force to protect Turkmenistan’s maritime interests, announcing that the fleet would be based at Turkmenbashi’s port. In order to control and regulate access to the naval base, Nice M5BAR and M7BAR barriers were installed in several points: at the entrance of the base, at the military lodging, at the naval construction site, at the docks, at the ammunition depot.
