Loch Lomond Golf Course

Loch Lomond, Scotland, United Kingdom

Loch Lomond is home to one of the world’s finest golf courses. The exclusive members’ only venue chose Nice barriers to control access at one of its entrances. The work was completed by Glasgow-based Craft Steel (also known as Craft Gates).

The prestigious course is famous for its beautiful setting in the Scottish countryside. Settled on the shore of Loch Lomond, it was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish in 1993. Over the years it has hosted many top competitions, including the Scottish Open. The site is also home to Rossdhu Mansion, an attractive building that currently serves as the members’ clubhouse.

Craft Steel installed two Nice M7 bars working as Primary/Secondary with free exit ground loops and built in traffic lights connected directly to the control unit. The Nice MBAR was selected as a sturdy, reliable system to improve security and calm traffic at the course’s staff and members’ entrance. Craft Steel’s partnership with Nice began in February 2016 and has gone from strength to strength. The two companies collaborate regularly on both large and small installations.
