Nice: Vincenzo Girlando is the new Chief Technology Officer

Girlando will be responsible for creating and developing a technology roadmap to achieve Nice’s long-term global goals.

Oderzo (Italy), November 20, 2023 - Nice, global leading company in Home Management Solutions, strengthens its expertise in innovation and cutting-edge technology and appoints Vincenzo Girlando as Group Chief Technology Officer.

With a long-standing career spanning research and development, marketing, project management and product management, Girlando will drive Nice's innovation journey and contribute to the strategy that will lead to the consolidation of the Group under one single brand, which is the foundation of the rapid growth undertaken by the company in recent years.

Considering the future steps of Nice, Girlando will be responsible for the creation and development of a technology roadmap to meet the company’s long-term global goals, which include the platform convergence and brand integration to develop increasingly comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for residential and commercial applications. He will also supervise the Research & Development and Innovation centers, collaborating with all Business Units, setting the highest standards of quality, reliability, scalability, performance and security for Nice's products and technology platforms.

Connectivity, artificial intelligence, and innovation are the key factors that will guide Girlando’s role in Nice, in line with a home management technology that continues to evolve following the consumers’ needs. His main duties include: mapping the technologies currently used in the Group, defining a strategy and roadmap for each of them, mapping skills and possible synergies, improving product and technology development processes and tools, creating a new technology strategy for the Group.

Born in Verona, Paduan by adoption, Girlando brings over 25 years of experience in international companies such as Electrolux, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Alstom e General Electric. Engineering and technology are his passion, combined with reading and travelling with his family.
